Please buy HD DVD instead of Blu-ray
Excerpt from AnyDVD 6.2.0.1 2007 11 20 release notes:
- Note to people considering to invest in HD media: Please buy HD DVD
instead of Blu-ray. HD DVD is much more consumer friendly (e.g., no region
coding, AACS not mandatory, no BD+). Don't give your money to people,
who throw your fair-use rights out of the window.
I too agree with this point of view... in fact for quite some years now, I banned everything Sony from my technical purchases. Why? Because they tend to keep on creating more and more proprietary formats, because they don't care about their customers and because my 2 Sony Trinitron CRTs TV need to pay a visit the tv repair guy at a steady pace of every 2 years.

When you run a program on your computer, data flows from the hard disk to the program via read operations. The data is then processed and displayed, and finally flows back from the progam to the hard disk via write operations.
For example, if you run the Freecell program to play a game, it starts by reading the previously recorded statistics, displaying and altering them as you play the game, and finally writing them back to disk for future reference.
Sandboxie changes the rules such that write operations do not make it back to your hard disk.

ArtRage 2.5 released
Link: http://www.artrage.com/
ArtRage 2 lets you get right into painting, just open the app and it's all there! The paint tools are easy to get to, and it turns your screen in to a canvas so you can get on with the fun parts without worrying about documents, windows, or menus. Better still, the tools have been designed to feel real, so you don?t need to learn how to use them to get something that looks good, you can just pick them up, and off you go, whether you?ve painted with real tools before or not.
ArtRage 2 is available for Windows and Mac OSX. It works fine with the mouse but is even better with a graphics tablet or on a tablet PC.
It comes in 2 flavors, one free version with less tools available and a full feature version that costs less than 25 USD.
